4th_ of_ July_Post Falls_ Kiwanis_ Club and_ Subway

Out and about town with my Iron man, we delivered papers for the Spokesman Review. The sun was finally shining. We stopped to take the picture you see. We were trying to get down to the Post Falls River that runs in front of this site at the Post Falls Kiwanis Club Campsite, but couldn’t find the road. Instead, I smiled at my Sweetie and said Cheeseburgers from a picnic site. Not use to the bright sunlight, after a long dark winter he respond with a growl. “I can’t see a darn thing in this sunshine.”Link

With the temperatures in the 80’s and a light breeze that blew, it was a perfect day.

I did get hungry and the dear man sighed said, “Again. But you just had breakfast!” So we stopped at Subway for a sandwich. I love their $5.00 foot long sandwiches. My favorite for the day was BLT, bacon, lettuce, tomato on the herb bread.

I wrote this on Saturday…but today is the 4th of July, so Happy Independence Day! Here is a link that shows the actual Constitution of the United States: http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution.html and a wonderful write up that includes these words:

“Among the chief points at issue were how much power to allow the central government, how many representatives in Congress to allow each state, and how these representatives should be elected--directly by the people or by the state legislators. The work of many minds, the Constitution stands as a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise.”

I hope your day includes all the wonderful things that the celebration of this day can be along with deep thoughts about what our freedoms are and how they were obtained.
