Halloween Costume Swap

My friend, Lynn Colwell, (we took classes together at the University of Idaho) is an amazing writer who hosts a monthly newsletter. http://www.greenhalloween.org/CostumeSwap/

On August 4 at 2 p.m. EST, she’ll be sharing her out-of-the-box ideas and tips to help you plan the best celebrations ever at little cost to Mother Earth and your wallet.

Last year the National Costume Swap Day was launched, and received an amazing response, including a segment on Good Morning America.

This year, they have way more time to spread the word about this fun, this is a no cost route to getting your kids new-to-them-costumes (and of course, keep those costumes out of landfills).

The idea is to let people know how easy it is to set up and register a swap. Whether in your home, a community center, school, church or, if you're lucky enough to live in a year round warm climate, a park, hosting and running a costume swap is a great way to bring people together and kick off the Green Halloween season!

I'm pleased to support this and I hope you find great costumes for your little monsters and princesses! I've included a link to her site and put a widget to for you here.

Hugs! Amanda Nicolai
