Watching my daughter, via her blog on Facebook , I get to watch her be a mom for the first time and I love it.
My prefect grandson is learning to eat veggies and his mom is learning the tricks that Mom’s use to encourage good eating habits. I miss her and her growing family like crazy. I’m sure it was just yesterday that I was encouraging her to eat veggies, creatively. But aches and pains in getting up and sitting down has announced those days really are over for me.
Reading Meagan and Larry Johnson's "My Dad Un-Friended Me on Facebook," http://www.huffingtonpost.com/meagan-johnson-and-larry-johnson/babyboomers-facebook-_b_853756.html,
I feel like I imagine Larry, the Father, must. My lack of expertise in navigating Facebook and other social media probably makes me seem creaky to the generation I helped raise. I haven't un-friended my children, yet, but I'm sure they have horror stories that they share with their friends about my antiquated computer skills.
Today being able to see, via Facebook, that my daughter has found a way to encourage her son, to eat his veggies has been a delight! It's a pain to learn the new technology, but today the effort paid off!
